Antigravity 2.0 is the loudest move for developers out of the I/O 2026 keynote. Google launched a new standalone desktop application designed to coordinate AI development agents in parallel, powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash. Version 2.0 puts agent orchestration front and center: you can set agents to work on different problems simultaneously, multiplying development velocity.
Three technical shifts
First, the CLI: Antigravity CLI is introduced — lightweight — and in the developer blog post Google announces the transition of Gemini CLI to this new foundation. Second, persistent sandboxed Linux environments for multi-turn coding inside the Gemini API. Third, a mobile version of Google AI Studio.
The update lets developers generate Android applications from single prompts and publish them directly to the Google Play Console test track. For app developers, this is a paradigm shift: the distance from prompt to signed build becomes, effectively, a single call.
Managed Agents in the API
The most life-changing news for AI product builders is probably this: with a single API call you can now spin up an agent that reasons, uses tools, and executes code in an isolated Linux environment — all built on the Antigravity harness and Gemini 3.5 Flash.
Antigravity SDK: bring the agent to your own infrastructure
Alongside Managed Agents — which runs on Google's infrastructure — Google also announced Antigravity SDK, programmatic access to the same agent harness powering Google's products, co-optimized for Gemini models. The SDK lets you customize agent behavior and — the piece that changes the picture for anyone with regulatory or data-sovereignty constraints — run it on your own infrastructure, on-prem or on any cloud. For enterprise customers Google also offers a dedicated path: Antigravity can be connected directly to existing Google Cloud projects, inheriting already-negotiated enterprise contractual terms.
In practice Google explicitly splits its agentic offering across three tiers: Managed Agents for those who want the agent as a managed service, Antigravity SDK for those who want full control and on-prem deployment, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform for those already on Google Cloud.
Pricing
The new AI Ultra plan at $100/month offers a 5x higher usage limit in Antigravity compared to the AI Pro plan. Simultaneously, Google lowered the top-tier plan from $250 to $200 per month.
